Molcahete? Mortar and pestle? Whatever, this lady is grinding up some mixture perhaps for Som Tam, the favorite spicy salad of Isaan and Sa Kaeo people.

Pig heads. These are used mostly for soups. Move on by this if you are squeamish.

Grapes are pretty good here and the fruit at the bottom is another of those peel and eat fruits. It is also similar to rambutan, sweet and with a pit in the middle.

I again may well have the spelling wrong, but when pronounced this sounds like Sa Laat. Whatever, it is good and sweet when peeled. Somewhat similar to rambutan but sweeter.

Tangerines or mandarin oranges.. not sure which.

My new truck!!

The back of this truck is filled with everything they can't sell at the roadside stand. You can see melons, corn husks and various other green waste.

What you see in the foreground are NOT limes. I am told that older Thai people chew this and it makes their teeth black. Betel nut? Sorry I'm not clear on the name of this. In the background are bags of yummy chips!

Some more Thai fruits. At the top are grapefruits, huge and sweet. Below the grapefruits is a fruit called noi na (the spelling could be way way off). They don't look very tasty, but if you peel away the outside layer, they are quite good. Larger ones on the left are sweeter.

Melons at roadside market on trip to Sa Kaeo. Touted as being excellent, these particular melons were pretty tasteless. Major disappointment!!
