OK.. I'll say this up front. I owe the north of Thailand at least one more visit. I made several mistakes on this trip. Number one, I stayed at a large impersonal hotel. One would think that I have traveled enough to know better. I really didn't do enough research to find a smaller guesthouse or 'boutique hotel' which would give me better service. While the room was just fine and the hotel had "all the amenities one would expect from a hotel of this class", it left alot to be desired on the personal service side.
